New Artwork Revealed in Universal Kids Resort Theater Trademark Filing
Universal has filed a new trademark for “Universal Kids Resort Theater.” And like other recent filings, it includes accompanying artwork. Neither the name nor the logo has appeared in any official press releases, website content, or previously released concept art. As is often the case, Aahs n Oohs spotted the filing before I even woke up.

The art features the Universal Kids Resort logo above a classic-style theater marquee. It aligns with the Café and Store artwork Universal has already shared. Both of those locations can be found within Isle of Curiosity, the first land guests will encounter when entering the park.

We’re wondering if the Universal Kids Resort Theater could also be accessed from the same area, though we’re not ready to break that news today. We’re somewhat confident saying this is not for one of the park’s other six lands.
As with most trademark filings, the scope is broad. It lists generic offerings like “amusement park, theme park, and waterpark services,” followed by a wide range of potential uses, including:
- presentation of live show performances
- interactive play areas for children and adults
- live appearances by costumed characters
- live music concerts and performances
This doesn’t mean all of these elements are coming to the Universal Kids Resort Theater. In trademark filings, companies cast a wide net to protect a name across many possible uses. Doing so prevents others from using similar branding and gives Universal flexibility to evolve the space over time without needing to refile.
While the Universal Kids Resort Theater logo has a classic theater marquee vibe, the trademark filing is light on specifics. Universal has teased a series of videos focused on the Frisco, Texas, park. Hopefully, one of them tells us what this theater actually does.
