Muppet*Vision 3D and PizzeRizzo Closing on June 8, 2025
Disney just shared some distressing news. We knew it was coming, but that doesn’t make it easier to hear. Muppet*Vision 3D and PizzeRizzo are closing forever on June 8, 2025. The last day to enjoy the greatness of Grand Avenue is June 7. Mama Melrose’s Ristorante Italiano will close sooner, serving its last guests on May 10.
The Muppets are losing their Hollywood Studios lease to make way for a Monsters Inc. land, complete with a hanging doors coaster:
“That’s right, humans will be able to enter the world of Monsters, Inc. when it is added to the south side of Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Building off the exciting announcements from last summer’s D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event, the new land will include the coaster we’ve all dreamed of – a suspended ride recreating the door vault scene – plus dining and shopping and a whole new theater show.”

Disney is throwing Muppets fans a bone by having them take over Aerosmith’s Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster. We don’t know when the current version of that ride will close.
I can’t wait for Disney to start creating without destroying. They talk about all the extra land the parks have. Let’s hope they start using it at some point.
