Mrs. Puff Arrives at Universal Kids Resort Ahead of Boating School Installation
Mrs. Puff has arrived at the Universal Kids Resort staging lot. Appropriately, she’ll soon sit front and center at Mrs. Puff’s Boating School in Bikini Bottom.
With her unveiling, we’ve now seen every character headlining the park’s SpongeBob SquarePants-themed attractions. Mrs. Puff joins SpongeBob, Patrick Star, and Sandy Cheeks as the stars of their attractions. A fourth ride will simply feature the iconic Bikini Bottom Bus.

Mrs. Puff famously (and unsuccessfully) tried to teach SpongeBob how to drive. Instead of listening to his instructor, he usually just mashed the accelerator and turned the boating lesson into a demolition derby. Those experiences always left Mrs. Puff frazzled and occasionally in jail.

Appearing calm in her new Frisco home, she will soon preside over a Zierer Roundabout and its 20 red-and-white boatmobiles. We first spotted those vehicles in the park’s staging lot last June.

The spinner rotates up to 13 times per minute, offering just enough thrills for a family attraction. Riders must be at least 36 inches tall, or 48 inches to ride alone. Interestingly, it’s also the only ride in the park with a maximum height restriction. Anyone over 6’5″ will have to sit this boating lesson out.
Each of Mrs. Puff’s 20 boats seats two guests, giving the ride a capacity of roughly 1,080 riders per hour. That’s an excellent number for a park expected to welcome about 7,500 guests on a typical day.
With SpongeBob busy watching over the Jellyfish Fields Jamboree next door, Mrs. Puff should have a much easier time teaching the rest of us how to drive those boatmobiles. Hopefully, that means she’ll spend a little less time in boating school jail.
