Magic Kingdom Set for Late-Night Fireworks Sunday, Possibly for ABC Specials Filming
Magic Kingdom’s neighbors will be treated to some extra fireworks this Sunday, but they’ll have to stay up late to enjoy them. While Disney hasn’t shared why they’re launching the extra pyrotechnics, the timing strongly suggests it’s so they can film Minnie’s Wonderful Christmastime Fireworks for ABC’s Christmas specials. Crews will already be in the park Saturday and Sunday to capture Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmastime Parade, so the connection seems likely.

Apologies to our neighbors and guests for some noise late Sunday night due to multiple firework displays at Magic Kingdom Park.
If you’re staying at one of the Monorail resorts, pack some earplugs or set up some white noise before bed. It won’t completely block out the fireworks, but it could help you stay asleep. Then again, if you’re like me and used to booming thunderstorms, you’ll probably sleep right through them.
