Lookout Cay Merchandise Announced

Disney revealed some of the Lookout Cay merchandise that will be available to cruisers when the island opens this summer. Like the island’s art pieces and Mickey and Minnie’s outfits, merchandise designers are drawing inspiration from the Bahamas and Junkanoo, the national cultural festival of The Bahamas.

“From Bahamian-inspired Mickey and Minnie plush to apparel with the festive feel of Junkanoo, these collections will give guests a chance to bring home keepsakes that reflect some of the experiences at this vibrant island destination.”

This Junkanoo-Inspired Collection includes a spirit jersey, a Loungefly backpack, and a Loungefly ear headband. All three items use the same red, yellow, and black color palette. And it really pops. Spirit jerseys aren’t my thing, but I dig the look of this one. I’d also never wear it, especially on an island in the middle of the Bahamas.

Mickey and Minnie plushes are exclusive to Lookout Cay, making them some of the most expensive toys you can buy anywhere. They resemble the real-life Mickey and Minnie available for meet-and-greets on Lookout Cay. Their outfits were designed by Bahamas native Theodore Elyett.

Speaking of Theodore Elyett, the designer has created a clothing line, also an island exclusive. His line will include men’s and women’s apparel featuring his signature bright colors.

Bahamian artists have played a big role in developing the island’s architecture, decor, and merchandise. Lucky guests can experience Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point starting in June.
