Lion King Restaurant Coming to the Disney Destiny
The Disney Destiny is all about heroes and villains, so it comes as no surprise that one of the ship’s restaurants will be themed to The Lion King. “Pride Lands: Feast of The Lion King” will immerse diners in one of Disney’s best animated stories.
“The enchanting venue will be inspired by the African savanna, with unique depictions of animals and nature brought to life through lighting and special effects. The back wall will be lined with large windows that transform from stunning sunrises to enchanting sunsets throughout the meal, while the center of the restaurant will have tiered risers that mimic the look of African drums.”

Musicians and storytellers will take guests on a “musical journey” as they dine. They’ll perform iconic Lion King songs on authentic African instruments. Here are just a few of the highlights:
- A mash-up of “I Just Can’t Wait to Be King” and “Be Prepared” will emphasize the hero vs. villain aspect of the story.
- “Can You Feel the Love Tonight” will feature an interpretive dance.
- “He Lives in You” will also be performed. This song comes from the sequel film and the Broadway show.
- And don’t worry! “Circle of Life” and “Hakuna Matata” made the cut, too.
Guests will also be able to showcase their vocal pipes in a sing-along. The Lion King sets sail on the Disney Destiny in 2025.
