Guest Jumps From Kilimanjaro Safaris Truck to Relieve Himself

I rarely post stories about guest behavior in theme parks. Sure, we have an article on theme park etiquette, but sharing viral videos for the sake of clicks just isn’t my thing. But today, I’m breaking my own rule. That’s because a guest on Kilimanjaro Safaris actually jumped from a ride vehicle to pee in the bushes.

Edwin Valencap captured the moment on TikTok. His video starts with the man already relieving himself. Guests on the ride can be heard contemplating his fate. His child pleads with him to hurry up. After he finishes, he runs back to the truck and hops on while apologizing to everyone: “I’m super sorry. I had to.” The Cast Member driving the truck can be heard telling the man not to climb back on the truck. He did anyway.

While this behavior is beyond comprehension for most of us, it’s not quite the same thing as jumping out of a Living with the Land boat to steal a cucumber or scaling the Tree of Life or the pyramid in the Mexico Pavilion. Those people were looking for attention. I doubt this guy wanted to go viral. A full bladder can absolutely short-circuit the brain for a few minutes when it starts treating embarrassment like an emergency.

That being said, this dude needs to be trespassed from the parks.

Kilimanjaro Safaris is one of the most uncontrolled, organic attractions Disney has ever built. The animals aren’t animatronics. The Cast Member guides are actively driving through habitats while monitoring animals, narrow roads, traffic, and dozens of guests bouncing around in the back of the truck. There’s a reason they repeatedly tell guests to remain seated at all times. Once somebody jumps out, there’s no safety barrier, no hidden catwalk, and no guarantee the animals nearby are going to ignore a random human sprinting into the brush.

A former security Cast Member messaged me this morning:

“It’s not just stupid, it’s dangerous and could have resulted in a tragedy, depending on where the safari vehicle was on the trail.

“Any number of the animals could have seen him as a threat and attacked, gored, or stampeded him. And not to mention just jumping off and back on those vehicles could have easily resulted in injury as well, for him or other guests.”

And that’s the part I can’t get over. This wasn’t someone stepping out onto a sidewalk backstage or hopping a fence for a selfie. A grown man jumped five or six feet out of a moving safari truck, into an active animal habitat, to pee in the bushes near wild animals. That’s not theme park mischief. That’s a bladder emergency resulting in unbelievably bad judgment.
