GEO-82: EPCOT’s Adult-Only Lounge Gets a Name

EPCOT’s newest lounge has a name — and an unexpected age requirement. GEO-82 will be an adults-only space. Here’s the announcement from Disney: “When GEO-82 opens this year, the location will offer reservations for guests 21 and older. This lounge will be the ultimate spot to toast to a trip around EPCOT with innovative cocktails and globally influenced small plates while you take in spectacular park views.”

The name and logo are EPCOT greatness. Geo refers to Spaceship Earth’s geodesic sphere. 82 is the year EPCOT debuted. The geodesic patterns are a subtle addition to the logo’s retro-future vibe. I dig it.

Those same design details can be found throughout the lounge:

“With this new lounge, you’ll feel like you’re discovering an all-new part of Spaceship Earth – GEO-82 will surround you with iconic shapes and intricate structures inspired by the park’s instantly-recognizable icon. You’ll sit amid rich textures and warm, metallic tones that echo Spaceship Earth in an elegant and intimate setting.”

GEO-82 is expected to open to guests in late spring (advance reservations will be required). We’ll update our countdown clock once the exact date is confirmed.
