Frisco Mayor Jeff Cheney Tours Universal Kids Resort in New Universal Creative Video

Last week, Frisco Mayor Jeff Cheney was treated to a hard hat tour of Universal Kids Resort. Fortunately for the rest of us, Universal Creative tagged along with a camera, offering a handful of quick glimpses inside the park and hotel. Most of them are well beyond my typical vantage point from the sidewalk.

The video opens with the group exploring a rainbow tunnel and the hotel lobby, followed by a look inside one of the guest rooms. Both spaces look like they were pulled straight from the concept art. Those vibrant, kid-friendly designs should be a hit with the target audience.

From there, the tour moves into the park and the Isle of Curiosity, home to Gabby’s Dollhouse. Universal calls it a “perfect playtopia,” allowing kids to freely roam while interacting with characters. The video shows that they’ll enjoy plenty of shade while exploring.

Next up is Bikini Bottom, where we get closer looks at SpongeBob with his jellyfish, along with Sandy Cheeks and Patrick Star perched above the Bobbing Barrels.

The video wraps with Cheney meeting a baby Velociraptor and posing in front of a Jurassic World Jeep.

Universal Kids Resort is clearly ramping things up on the marketing front. Sure, this video is tucked away on LinkedIn, but it’s another sign that Universal will soon open its first Texas theme park. I’m sure they’ll let us know the exact day soon enough.
