First Look: Critter Co-Op in Frontierland

Tiana’s Bayou Adventure opens June 28 in Magic Kingdom. And while Disney will be selling themed merchandise on opening day, it won’t be happening in Critter Co-Op, the attraction’s official store. Instead, guests can find Tiana’s products in the Emporium on Main Street. Critter Co-Op will open at a later date. Disney did share photos from inside the shop, and we’re digging the space.

Critter Co-Op replaces Briar Patch, Splash Mountain’s gift shop. Imagineers opted to keep many aspects of that store in place. The briar thorns have been removed, but the branches remain. Like the ride, foliage has been added, as well. Disney promises even more Tiana’s Bayou Adventure tie-ins:

“You may even spot some of their charming makeshift instruments constructed from natural materials and some human-made found objects throughout the shop.”

Mobile ordering will be available in the store. That should make the eBay resellers happy. They can buy their grocery bags full of Princess and the Frog merch with less hassle. But I digress.

Disney highlighted some of the items coming to Critter Co-Op. I won’t rehash the entire lineup here, but I do want to highlight a couple of things. First, the Tiana’s Foods water tower figurine looks really sharp. It features Princess Tiana, Prince Naveen, Louis, and several bayou musicians. Disney needs more ride products with this level of detail.

Another cool keepsake is the Restaurant Fund Coffee Can. Before you start saving your real coins, be sure to eat the chocolate ones inside.

Other Tiana’s merch includes Loungefly Backpacks, plushes, sweet treats, household items, hot sauces, and spices. Disney promises that select products will be available at DisneyStore.com in the future.
