Fast & Furious: Hollywood Drift Ride Vehicles Revealed
Fast & Furious: Hollywood Drift is coming to both Universal Studios Hollywood and Universal Studios Florida. Today, Universal Creative revealed the full lineup of ride vehicles that will be drifting on those tracks.
“Four iconic designs, one furious ride. The Fast & Furious: Hollywood Drift vehicles have been unveiled at Universal Studios Hollywood.
“Hit the Fast & Furious: Hollywood Drift track in one of three new ride vehicles joining the Dodge Charger to complete the lineup: The Mazda RX-7, Nissan Skyline GT-R, and Toyota Supra.”
Universal didn’t specify which park these car designs are destined for, which suggests they’ll be used on both coasts. Hollywood’s version of the coaster opens this summer. Ride testing is already underway.

Orlando’s Hollywood Drift will use the same ride vehicle technology, but on a wildly different track layout. Florida riders will tackle a 170-foot spike. Can you imagine drifting on that?! I’m not sure I can.
Construction is already underway, with the coaster expected to debut in 2027.
Fast & Furious: Hollywood Drift’s four cars
Dodge Charger R/T
We’ve known about Dominic Toretto’s 1970 black Dodge Charger R/T for months, since – fittingly – it was the first vehicle Universal revealed. I actually photographed it at the Intamin booth during the IAAPA Expo in Orlando last November. It looks cool in photos, but it’ll blow you away in person.

I reached out to Aahs n Oohs for more specifics on the other cars announced today. Like me, he’s only seen the first movie, but that didn’t stop him from delivering the goods.
Mazda RX-7 FD
This 1993 Mazda was driven by Orange Julius, of course.

Toyota Supra
While the 1994 Supra is most closely associated with Brian O’Conner, both Mia Toretto and Dom have also taken it for a spin.

Nissan Skyline GT-R R34
Apparently, Brian O’Conner has quite the garage. This one is his 1999 blue Nissan Skyline GT-R R34.

Fast & Furious: Hollywood Drift is shaping up to be one of Universal’s most unique rides. Using the franchise’s most recognizable cars is a nice touch and should let fans feel like they’re part of the movie.
Hollywood guests will get their first taste when their ride opens later this summer. Orlando fans will have to wait until 2027 to enjoy that 17-story spike.
