Dreamfinder Set to Rejoin Figment at EPCOT
Thomas Mazloum had us all fooled when he made it sound like a Disneyland Tomorrowland update would be the grand finale of the Disney Experiences Showcase at D23.
Then a figure appeared on stage with his back to the camera, wearing a large robe.
“You made me a promise. You swore if I were to host this show, you would restore my favorite animatronic character of all time to his former glory. Behold!”
Stagehands ripped away the robe, revealing Neil Patrick Harris dressed as Dreamfinder and holding a Figment plush.

Dreamfinder was a major part of the original Journey Into Imagination, which opened at EPCOT in 1983. The attraction has gone through several iterations since the Dreamfinder was removed in 1998. None of the versions that followed has resonated with fans quite like the original.
Mazloum didn’t provide any details about what’s coming, other than to say, “We are taking a new journey into imagination at EPCOT with Dreamfinder and Figment! I’m so happy to share this news tonight. We know how important this is to you. We’ve heard you, and this is one more way we’re putting you in the center of everything we do.”

We previously reported that plans to redevelop EPCOT’s Imagination! Pavilion had been approved. With Figment already at the center of so much of the pavilion, it made sense that Journey Into Imagination would be part of those plans. Now we know Dreamfinder is coming with him.
