Disneyland Unveils “Shadows of Memory: A Skywalker Saga”
Disney shared a first look at Shadows of Memory: A Skywalker Saga. The projection show debuts tonight in Disneyland’s Galaxy’s Edge as part of Season of the Force. The limited-time event runs through May 11. Tonight’s shows go off at 9 PM and 10:15 PM. Be sure to check the Disneyland app for showtimes on the days you visit.
Watching this 30-second video is all the proof I need that Shadows of Memory is a hit. You have the Millennium Falcon, projection mapping on the spires, and John Williams. This is what Galaxy’s Edge is meant to be.
A narrator speaks about the Skywalker family’s legacy:
“Tonight, I invite you to join me around the fire of memory for a tale of prophecy. The story of a destiny fulfilled, a darkened curse, and a final redemption. The legend of a family strong in the Force, entwined in a battle between the darkness and the light.”
Disney also shared stunning photographs from the show. Kudos to the photographer!

Season of the Force also welcomes Luke Skywalker to Galaxy’s Edge. The Jedi will be available for character meet-and-greets throughout the event.

As awesome as Shadows of Memory: A Skywalker Saga looks, I’m a little bummed writing this post. For the life of me, I can’t understand why Season of the Force isn’t included in Hollywood Studios’ Galaxy’s Edge. Disney built mostly identical lands, yet Disneyland’s version gets all the extras. I’d love to see those projections and listen to John Williams when we visit Batuu East next month.
