Disney World’s Custodial Team Gets a Costume Makeover

Walt Disney World’s custodial team is getting new costumes, joining the resort’s massive inventory of 893 costume designs and 140 million individual garments. With that staggering number, Disney World has the largest working wardrobe in the world.

Disney’s Costuming team worked closely with custodial Cast Members to design new garments that are both stylish and comfortable.

So, how do you make Disney World costumes more comfortable? You make them interchangeable, use moisture-wicking fabrics, make the pants adjustable, and add plenty of pockets. And you give them hats that can accommodate glasses and different hairstyles. What you don’t do is remove the iconic “sweeping Mickey” patch.
