Disney Water Parks Reunite! Typhoon Lagoon & Blizzard Beach Open All Summer
This news may have hit on April 1, but it’s no joke. Typhoon Lagoon and Blizzard Beach will be open at the same time this summer. This hasn’t happened in 6 years! Walt Disney World guests can visit both parks from May 21 through September 7.
This news is hardly surprising, given Disney’s water park promotion. Resort hotel guests receive complimentary access to a water park on their check-in day. Currently, that means Blizzard Beach, as Typhoon Lagoon remains closed until May 1. Blizzard Beach closes for a 20-day refurbishment that same day.
We’ve talked to several guests who’ve taken advantage of the water park perk. The consensus is that it’s a popular freebie. Having both parks open once schools let out will be a must.
H2O Glow After Hours at Typhoon Lagoon
If that’s not enough water park greatness, Disney is also bringing back H2O Glow After Hours at Typhoon Lagoon. The 3-hour paid event includes complimentary snacks, Toy Story meet-and-greets, and shorter wait times. Tickets go on sale today for select resort guests and on April 4 for the general public. Adults are $85, while children are $42.50. Annual Passholder and DVC Members can enjoy $15 discounts on adult tickets.
