“Cool Kid Summer” Activities, Characters Coming to Disney World

Disney World announced several limited-time experiences for younger children coming to the parks this summer. From May 27 through September 1, “Cool Kid Summer” will include character interactions, dancing, games, and more. Let’s get to the details.

In Magic Kingdom, Storybook Circus will offer kid zones for “added fun.” Stitch will be available for meet-and-greets in Tomorrowland. And after Flower and Garden concludes, EPCOT’s CommuniCore Hall will be transformed into a Goofy hangout:

“Families with young kids will be able to cool down while enjoying the ultimate game party and play space featuring none other than Goofy as he takes over CommuniCore Hall at EPCOT. We don’t want to spoil all the surprises, but be on the lookout for more details soon.”

CommuniCore gets a lot of grief, but its AC is top-notch. This is the perfect place to escape the heat while letting your kids recharge.

Disney Resort hotel guests will be able to meet several characters during Early Entry. Take advantage of this perk, especially in summer. You can take a character selfie and slam a ride or two before the big crowds arrive.

Finally, guests staying at Art of Animation, Pop Century, Caribbean Beach, and Wilderness Lodge will be treated to character visits (with “set appearance times”) and expanded activity itineraries.

Cool Kid Summer runs from May 27 through September 1.
