Disney Vacation Club (DVC) Raises Prices

Buying into the Disney Vacation Club just got more expensive. DVC raised the price per point on its five featured properties. Here are the updated figures:

Disney also raised prices on its “sold out” DVC properties.

These increases are a good thing for current DVC owners. As Disney raises their prices, the resale and rental market prices also rise. Prospective buyers, on the other hand, don’t appreciate the latest hikes. A 100-point minimum contract at one of Disney’s “active” properties costs $600 to $1000 more than yesterday, depending on the property. DVC regularly offers deals, however.

Prospective buyers have other options, though. The resale market is filled with contracts priced significantly lower than those sold by Disney. But those contracts with a catch. You won’t get those awesome DVC perks (like Moonlight Magic) and could be limited in your resort choices.
