Disney Shares Concept Art for Lakeshore Lodge Lobby and Restaurants
Disney shared new concept art from inside Disney’s Lakeshore Lodge. Specifically, we’re getting our first looks at the lobby, dining spaces, and a terrace designed for fireworks viewing. According to Disney, Imagineers have designed spaces “where families and friends can gather, reconnect, and experience sunrise coffee, leisurely afternoons, and unforgettable nighttime views.”
The nature-themed Disney Vacation Club resort is currently under construction along Bay Lake, very near Fort Wilderness.
Lakeshore Lodge Lobby
First up is the lobby, which takes inspiration from Disney Animation’s Pocahontas:
“When guests arrive at Disney’s Lakeshore Lodge, they’ll step into the lobby and become immersed in the sights and sounds of nature. Spectacular floor-to-ceiling windows will welcome natural sunlight and showcase sweeping views of The Wetlands outdoor recreation area, allowing the local flora and fauna to flow seamlessly into the architecture, artwork, and ambiance.”
A fiber-optic “river” will illuminate the floor, while a glass “Colors of the Wind” sculpture hangs overhead. The centerpiece will feature hundreds of glass leaves.
The lobby will also incorporate natural materials and tapestries inspired by the film’s landscapes.
Lakeshore Lodge Dining
Disney also provided details about Lakeshore Lodge’s three dining experiences.
Moonglade, the resort’s table-service restaurant, will serve dishes featuring locally sourced ingredients as guests enjoy views of the cypress trees lining Bay Lake.
Bay Lake Provisions is the resort’s quick-service location. The all-day marketplace will offer specialty coffee and what Disney describes as “fresh fare.” Concept art shows geometric chandeliers, nature murals, and a glimpse of the lobby staircase, which looks incredibly cool.
Disney also promises that guests will discover “woodland critters inspired by beloved Disney classics” throughout the space.
Paint Out Point Bar & Grill will serve guests enjoying The Wetlands, the resort’s Pocahontas-inspired recreation area, which includes a lazy river. The bar will specialize in shareable bites and specialty drinks.
Its design takes inspiration from plein-air painting, a technique popularized by French Impressionists who took their easels into nature instead of painting inside their studios.
Dandelion Terrace
Guests hoping to enjoy Magic Kingdom’s fireworks without dealing with the Main Street crowds should appreciate Dandelion Terrace. Sure, they won’t get the full Happily Ever After experience from that distance. But for guests who have already seen the show several times, watching from a comfortable terrace with a drink sounds like a nice consolation.
In addition to fireworks views, the lounge will feature a two-story gallery of artwork inspired by Disney classics such as Fantasia. It will also include dandelion-inspired light fixtures that look like fireworks themselves.
With a lazy river, fireworks viewing, and relaxed, nature-inspired vibes, we can see Lakeshore Lodge becoming a very popular destination. The resort debuts in 2027.
