Disney Removes MagicBand Discount for Annual Passholders and Resort Guests

Sorry, but not even the Clawhauser news can make up for all the price hikes announced today. The latest hit? Disney quietly removed a longtime discount from its website. Annual Passholders and resort hotel guests who purchased MagicBands before their arrival used to save $10. Going forward, everyone will pay full price for the wearable tech, which currently ranges from $34.99 to $54.99.

Luckily, MagicBands aren’t required to have a good time in the parks. Instead of spending the extra cash, guests can use Disney MagicMobile via their phones or Apple Watch. Or they can request complimentary physical tickets from Guest Services.

Elastigirl box with 3 MagicBands

In the days of yore and yesteryear, guests received free MagicBands with every Disney hotel stay. Annual Passholders also got the free swag. Those Elastigirl-themed boxes arriving in our mailbox? Pure joy.
