Disney Destiny’s “Hercules” Stage Show to Feature Gospel Choir
The Disney Destiny will soon set sail with “Disney Hercules,” an all-new Broadway-style show. And it’s going to be a hit. How do I know? Because Disney Live Entertainment brought in a gospel choir to record the soundtrack.
I’m a sucker for a gospel choir.

Earlier this month, a small group of Orlando-based singers flew to Nashville to join forces with the 17 gospel singers, a 70-member orchestra, and a 10-piece drumline. The recording session lasted over 50 hours and produced 55 minutes of music. “Shooting Star,” a song that didn’t make it into the Hercules film, made the cut for the stage show. I’m sure it’ll be great, but I’m more excited to hear a gospel-infused rendition of “Go the Distance,” the original film’s iconic song.
With the soundtrack complete, the production team is focused on the show’s props, choreography, and costumes. You can see how that’s going in a video shared by Disney Live Entertainment.
The Disney Destiny sets sail on November 20, 2025.
