Disney Announces Late 2026, Early 2027 runDisney Race Dates
runDisney has shared dates for its late 2026 and early 2027 Walt Disney World and virtual races. Remember, Disneyland’s races have been paused as the resort braces for upcoming construction projects.
Runners should take note of the following race and registration dates, as every one of these events is expected to sell out quickly. Non-runners may also want to pay attention. While race weekends don’t always translate to busier parks, they can impact hotel availability. As DVC owners, we’ve found that booking villas during runDisney events can be more challenging than during non-race periods.
runDisney is one of Disney’s most popular paid offerings, and you don’t have to be a runner to participate (though you may want to think before signing up for a half or full marathon). Many participants choose to walk the courses, taking in the rare experience of being in the parks before they officially open and posing with iconic Disney characters. Just make sure you can stay ahead of the balloon ladies and their 16-minute mile pace. If they catch you, your race day is over.
Virtual runners don’t have to worry about the balloon ladies or early wake-up calls. They set their route, pace, day, and time. But just like the in-person runners, they’ll receive a runDisney medal.
