runDisney Pauses Disneyland Races after 2026 Half Marathon

Disneyland is pausing runDisney races at the conclusion of the 2026 Disneyland Half Marathon Weekend. The official runDisney website shared the news:

Due to upcoming construction impacts, runDisney races at the Disneyland Resort will be placed on hiatus in 2026 after the conclusion of the 2026 Disneyland Half Marathon Weekend presented by HONDA. We will continue to offer races at Walt Disney World Resort, as well as virtual offerings.

While the notice doesn’t specifically mention DisneylandForward, the break in the schedule is likely related to the Disneyland rezoning and expansion project. Disney not sharing a return date also indicates runDisney might be absent from Anaheim for a while.

The 2026 Disneyland Half Marathon Weekend races take place January 29 through February 1, 2026. Registration opens on April 29 at 7 AM Pacific. runDisney Gold and Platinum members were able to sign up early today. If you were thinking about maybe someday taking part in a runDisney event at Disneyland, now’s the time to do it.
