Disney Adventure Completes Journey to Singapore Ahead of 2026 Debut

The Disney Adventure is home. Disney Cruise Line’s newest – and largest – ship completed its two-month journey from the Meyer Werft Shipyard to the Marina Bay Cruise Centre in Singapore on Tuesday night local time. 200 Cast Members and their loved ones rolled out the red carpet for The Adventure, which was greeted with fireworks, water cannons, and enthusiastic fans.

The Adventure will call Singapore home for at least the next five years. Yes, it’s on the other side of the world from many of us, but with direct flights from 160 cities, I expect many Disney fans to make the trip.

It’ll be worth those long-haul flights. The Adventure boasts attractions and entertainment not found on any other Disney ship. That’s because it didn’t start its life as a Disney ship. The company purchased it at a deep discount from Genting Hong Kong when that company went bankrupt. Meyer Werft took over construction and moved the Adventure to the Werften shipyard in Wismar, Germany.

Imagineers were then tasked with injecting typical Disney greatness into a ship they didn’t design from the ground up. They responded by giving it an Imagination Garden, a Marvel-themed roller coaster, a Duffy show, and plenty more. In all, the Adventure has seven uniquely themed areas.

Unfortunately, working with unfamiliar blueprints led to delays. Originally set to sail last December, Disney had to push the inaugural cruise to March 10, 2026.
