Christmas Merchandise Arrives at Universal Kids Resort
Christmas merchandise began arriving at Universal Kids Resort last week. So far, we’ve spotted holiday items at Jurassic World Outfitters and the Minions’ Bello Bay Boutique and Bites, including ornaments, spirit jerseys, and an advent calendar. We expect more to hit the shelves soon.
Maybe it already has. The park reopens tomorrow after a short midweek break, and more holiday merchandise may have arrived during the downtime. We also expect the Halloween decorations to be gone. Christmas decor likely won’t arrive until later this month, though we might see a few hints of what’s coming. Don’t quote me on that.
The park’s Halloween merchandise was limited to Universal Bitty Monsters, Minions, and How to Train Your Dragon items, all sold in the Universal Kids Resort Store. The limited selections were understandable for a park that had only been open a few months. Coordinating seasonal merchandise for seven lands’ worth of characters probably wasn’t at the top of the opening checklist.
Christmas is a different retail animal, though, so we’d be surprised if we’ve seen everything coming to Frisco. Halloween is a big business, but nothing compares to Christmas.
For now, here’s the holiday merchandise we’ve spotted. We’ll update this article as more arrives.
