Carved Booths and Cannonballs: A Closer Look at The Beak and Barrel
Walt Disney Imagineering shared another sneak peek inside The Beak and Barrel, the Pirates of the Caribbean-themed lounge coming to Magic Kingdom. Monste Garmilla is back, this time taking viewers inside the lounge’s Captain’s Quarters. She shared details about the room’s hand-carved booths. Each one “tells a different story about all the pirate lords.”
Imagineer Chris showed the damage resulting from pirates trying to blast their way into the locked Mapmaker’s Room. The walls are littered with gaping holes, cracks, and embedded cannonballs.
Chris also revealed the Mess’s signature piece, the backbar. The skull-inspired shelf was previously revealed in concept art. It looks even better in person. Or in an Instagram reel.
The Beak and Barrel opens later this year in Magic Kingdom.
