Universal Shares DreamWorks Land Details and Concept Art

DreamWorks Land is set to debut at Universal Studios Florida this summer. Featuring three themed areas — Shrek, Trolls, and Kung Fu Panda — this land is going to be a welcome addition for families looking for age-appropriate attractions, entertainment, interactive play areas, and character meets.

As soon as guests step into the spectacular new land, the vivid world and imagination of DreamWorks Animation will surround them as they embark on exciting adventures like exploring Shrek’s Swamp just outside of his 35-foot-tall cottage, taking a ride on a dazzling Trollercoaster, interacting with Po in the Panda Village and meeting favorite characters like Gabby from Gabby’s Dollhouse. Guests will also discover unique treats, photo-op-worthy murals, interactive play areas, splash pads and entertainment offerings themed to popular DreamWorks stories and characters.

Shrek

Shrek’s Swamp Meet will take place just outside Shrek’s cottage. Guests will be able to interact with Shrek, Princess Fiona, and Donkey.
Younger guests will love Shrek’s Swamp for Little Ogres, where they’ll find four slides, wet play areas, and a playground where they can explore Shrek’s outhouse.
I love the concept behind Mama Luna Feline Fiesta. Mama Luna is the crazy cat lady from Puss in Boots: The Last Wish. This interactive space lets guests play with Mama Luna’s dozens of cats on interactive screens. Puss in Boots also makes an appearance.
Guests will be hopping on lily pads to create music in King Harold’s Swamp Symphony. Each hop will trigger a unique frog ribbit.
Finally, hungry families can grab some grub at Swamp Snacks. Featured items included Shrekzel, Far Far a Waffle, and the Frozen Ogre.

Trolls

The centerpiece of the Trolls area is a fountain featuring Poppy and Branch. Universal says families can relax and find their happy place as “fantastamazing” energy flows.
Guests will need to escape evil spiders when riding the Caterbus on the Trolls Trollercoaster. This family-friendly coaster’s marquee will include Troll favorites Poppy, Viva, Tiny Diamond, Satin, and Chenille. Trollercoaster will use the existing track from Woody Woodpecker’s Nuthouse Coaster.

Poppy’s Playground is found under a 20-foot mushroom. This shaded play area includes bouncing and climbing structures for the “youngest of trolls.”

Hungry guests should head to Trolls Treats. Poppy’s boombox has been transformed into a food kiosk where you can order ice cream, pink lemonade-flavored Poppy-licious Pink, and huckleberry-flavored BroZone Berry
If you need some retail therapy, join Cloud Guy in the High Five Hideaway to find merchandise from Shrek, Trolls, Kung Fu Panda, Gabby’s Dollhouse, and more.
Kung Fu Panda

I wish this land was available when our son was younger. We watched the original Kung Fu Panda more times than I’d like to admit. Oh well, he’ll just have to enjoy it as an adult.
Guests will find wet and dry play areas in Po’s Kung Fu Training Camp. Kids will help pandas wash and dry their laundry with enormous water cannons, dump buckets, and giant fans. They’ll also find baby pandas, an interactive gong, and oversized merry-go-round noodle bowls from Mr. Ping’s Noodle Shop.
Po Live! is a digital, interactive character experience. In it, Po will teach guests Kung Fu while cooking stir fry and babysitting his cousin, Ling Ling.

Additional DreamWorks Land Experiences
Fans of the animation studio will enjoy the DreamWorks Imagination Celebration, a multisensory adventure that combines music, dancing, and advanced technology to create an interactive party atmosphere. Guests will be transported to the worlds of their favorite characters in the all-new DreamWorks Theater.
The DreamWorks Character Zone allows guests to interact with Gabby from Gabby’s Dollhouse. More characters will be announced later.
