Universal Kids Resort Silver Annual Passes Sell Out Before Opening Day

Universal Kids Resort Silver Annual Passes Sell Out Before Opening Day

Universal Kids Resort has sold out of its Silver Annual Passes. Guests hoping to secure year-round access to the new Frisco theme park will have to wait for Universal to introduce additional pass options.

Here’s the announcement currently posted on the Universal Kids Resort website:

“Due to high demand, the Silver Annual Pass is currently sold out. Additional pass options for Universal Kids Resort will be available at a later time. Please stay tuned to our website for the latest updates.”

Several Frisco-area residents told me they were taking a wait-and-see approach before committing to an Annual Pass. Their plan was to purchase a day ticket, experience the park for themselves, and then decide whether to upgrade to the Annual Pass. For now, that option is off the table.

Why did the passes sell out?

The sellout isn’t entirely surprising. Universal Kids Resort is a unique concept. The park is much smaller than Universal’s traditional destinations, and the company is likely being careful not to overwhelm its seven lands with too many passholders during its first year of operation.

The Silver Pass also offered a lot of value. With 1-day tickets starting at $55 and 2-day tickets starting at $74, the $129.99 Silver Annual Pass effectively paid for itself in about three visits. Guests who opted for the parking version could save even more over the course of a year.

The Silver Pass allows holders to visit roughly 70% of the days between July 1, 2026, and June 30, 2027. While it’s blocked out on many spring and summer weekends, it still provides plenty of opportunities for locals to visit throughout the year.

I wouldn’t expect Universal to offer additional Annual Passes anytime soon. The company will likely spend the next several months studying how guests actually use the park before making any changes to its ticket offerings. After all, Universal Kids Resort is a completely new concept, and there’s only so much you can learn before opening day.

The wording of Universal’s announcement is also interesting. Rather than saying more Silver Annual Passes will become available, it specifically says additional pass options. That could be another hint that Universal plans to introduce new tiers in the future. The “Silver” branding always suggested the possibility of more Annual Pass options.

For now, guests who didn’t jump at the Silver Passes will have to rely on day tickets.
