Universal Kids Resort Silver Annual Passes Are Back on Sale
Silver Annual Passes are once again available for Universal Kids Resort. The passes first went on sale in early June and sold out within a few days, well before the park opened on July 1. Their return suggests Universal is getting more comfortable with the park’s capacity now that guests are actually inside the gates.
Universal has already done something similar with day tickets, adding availability on dates that had previously been sold out.
The move makes sense. Crowds have been very reasonable so far. If anything, we were surprised Universal didn’t open the floodgates a little more. I expected to be standing in a sea of Annual Passholders on July 6, the first good-to-go day for Silver Passholders. Instead, I was near the front of the line even though I arrived 10 minutes before the gates opened.
So far, the park has handled its early crowds well. Team Members have more reps under their belts, the rides have been reliable, and Universal appears ready to turn the dial up a bit. But I’ll miss walking onto Bello Bay Cruise.
Is the Silver Annual Pass Worth It?
We previously did a deep dive into the value of Universal Kids Resort’s Silver Annual Pass. The short version: yes, it is an excellent deal.
Some will point to cheaper passes at places like Peppa Pig Theme Park or Six Flags. That’s fine, but those aren’t good comps for Universal Kids. Peppa Pig is much smaller, offering only five rides. Six Flags is geared at a much older audience.
Single-day tickets start at $55, though those prices are generally limited to offseason weekdays. Two-day tickets start at $74. Against that, the $129.99 Silver Annual Pass looks pretty reasonable.
For $35 more, guests can add parking to the pass. Since standard parking costs $20 per visit before tax, that upgrade pays for itself after two visits.
There are blockout dates, of course. But for local Annual Passholders, that may not be much of a dealbreaker. The busiest days are often the days locals are most willing to avoid anyway.
We still expect Universal to eventually introduce a higher-tier Annual Pass, preferably one without those restrictions.
