Universal Kids Resort Releases Fall and Holiday Hours, Shifts to Later Closings
Universal Kids Resort just revealed park hours for November and December. It also revised its September and October calendar. In both cases, the Frisco theme park will stay open later than it has since debuting in July.
Before getting to the newly released months, Universal made a welcome change to several previously posted dates. Most Fridays this fall had been scheduled to end at 5 PM. They’ll now remain open until 7 PM. That’s especially good news for Annual Passholders with jobs.
The later hours continue in November and December. For the first time, Universal Kids Resort will remain open until 9 PM. Several days will also feature noon openings.
Thanksgiving week
Most North Texas schools give students the entire week off for Thanksgiving, and Universal Kids Resort is adjusting accordingly. The park will remain open until 8 PM most days, though it won’t open until noon.
I like the tradeoff. By then, there won’t be a reason to wake up early to beat the heat, and parents getting off work won’t have to sprint to the park. Families can instead enjoy a few hours after the sun goes down.
The Friday and Saturday after Thanksgiving will bring the park’s longest operating days of the year, at least until Christmas arrives. Universal Kids Resort will be open from 10 AM to 9 PM both days.
December and the Holidays
Noon openings continue into December, with the park remaining open until 8 PM most weekdays. Again, that’s a substantial improvement for Annual Passholders who work. When the park closes at 5 PM, working families have no chance of getting there in time.
Once North Texas schools begin winter break, Universal Kids Resort will offer 10- and 11-hour operating days. The park will be open from 10 AM to 8 PM during the first week of the break, then remain open until 9 PM after Christmas Day.
Universal Kids Resort will be closed on Thanksgiving and Christmas Day.
