Universal Helios Grand Hotel Details Revealed
We’re getting closer to Epic Universe becoming a reality. The much-anticipated theme park — and its signature hotel — is set to open next summer. The Universal Helios Grand Hotel will offer unprecedented theme park views and beautiful theming. I imagine it will be fully booked every night of the year.
The Universal Creative Team designed the Mediterranean-inspired Helios Grand. It includes 500 rooms and suites, many of which offer views of Epic Universe. The property is co-owned by Loews Hotels & Co. and offers “tranquil sleeping accommodations, entertaining amenities for the whole family to enjoy, divine dining options, a stunning rooftop bar, and the hotel’s very own dedicated entrance to the new theme park.” I like that last bit.
And I like this, too:
“As soon as guests step into this radiant sanctuary, they will be transported to a fantastical world within the palace of Helios, the Greek god of the sun, adorned with beautiful details of celestial patterns, dazzling constellations, and elegant yet casual Mediterranean design elements. And through the lobby’s magnificent floor-to-ceiling windows is a breathtaking vista of Celestial Park – boasting some of the best views of Epic Universe in the entire hotel and immersing guests in the park’s brilliance by day and night.”

Helios Grand rooms
The rooms are on par with what we’ve seen with recent hotel designs. Helios’ clean bedding, bright colors, and white walls are meant to “evoke the tranquility of a blissful garden.”
I’d rather sleep in a How to Train Your Dragon Kids’ Suite, which is themed to the Viking village of Berk. The artist’s rendering shows a unique wall angle. I’d love to see the floor plan for this suite.
Drinks and eats
Bar Helios
The Helios Grand Hotel offers plenty of places for guests to grab a meal or enjoy a cocktail. Bar Helios will probably be the most popular space to do the latter. It’s a “sparkling and stylish rooftop lounge [that] offers a delectable menu of creative tapas and familiar favorites, thoughtfully handcrafted specialty cocktails, and unmatched 360-degree views of Epic Universe and beyond.”
Flora Taverna
Flora Taverna is the hotel’s full-service restaurant. It’s open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner and specializes in comfort foods and pizza. It also offers views of Celestial Park.
Aurora Market
Coffee drinkers will gravitate to Aurora Market, which offers freshly roasted coffee, snacks, desserts, and grab-and-go food items.
Lotus Lagoon
Finally, pool guests will enjoy casual fare food items and drinks from Lotus Lagoon, the resort’s poolside bar and grill.
Recreation
Helios Grand Hotel’s pool is zero-entry and comes equipped with “underwater speakers, poolside cabanas available for rent, a hot tub, poolside movies, recreational activities, and more.” I’ve never listened to music while underwater.
Guests who feel walking 10 miles a day just isn’t enough exercise can burn even more calories in the Helios Grand’s fitness center, complete with strength and cardio equipment. Younger guests (and maybe a few adults) will enjoy the hotel’s game room.
Universal also shared two videos highlighting the property.
The Helios Grand Hotel will open with Epic Universe in the summer of 2025. Universal promises to share booking details soon.
