Typhoon Lagoon, Blizzard Beach Both Available Starting May 12
It’s rare for both of Disney’s water parks to operate at the same time during the cooler months, and that pattern holds this weekend. Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon will close for refurbishment on February 15, the same day Disney’s Blizzard Beach reopens to guests.
Typhoon Lagoon’s downtime extends through May 11, 2026. Starting on May 12, both parks are expected to be available, just in time for the ramp-up to summer crowds. Those should arrive in force on May 26, when Disney’s popular Water Park Benefit kicks in. That’s where guests staying at Disney Resorts Collection hotels can visit either water park for free on their check-in day. That perk runs through September 8, 2026.
Disney is currently selling a Water Park Seasonal Pass, which provides admission to whichever park is open through May 9, 2026. Keep in mind, there are blockout dates from March 28 through April 5.
The pass costs $89 for adults and $83 for children ages 3 to 9. It comes with a couple of extras. Passholders can play one round of mini golf at Winter Summerland Miniature Golf or Fantasia Gardens and Fairways Miniature Golf. They’ll need to play earlier than 4 PM, however.
They’ll also save 20% on same-day rentals of Polar Patios and Beachcomber Shacks. Those must be booked in person.
