Tiana’s Bayou Adventure Opening Summer 2024 in Magic Kingdom

Tiana’s Bayou Adventure construction is way ahead of schedule! Originally scheduled to open in late 2024, the attraction will now debut this summer. No specific date was given, but this is welcome news for Disney fans used to waiting years for new rides to open. I’m looking at you, TRON.

This isn’t the only fantastic Tiana news. Disney Imagineer Charita Carter shared a first look at the ride’s namesake audio-animatronic earlier today. Tiana is everything I had hoped she’d be. Imagineers have created something beautiful.

Tiana isn’t the only animatronic to be featured on the ride. Disney promises the attraction will have dozens of moving characters, including Mama Odie, Louis, Naveen, Charlotte, Eudora, and Ralphie. A bayou band made up of an otter, a rabbit, a raccoon, a beaver, a turtle, and others will perform jazz music on their homemade instruments.

Splash Mountain fans haven’t hidden their skepticism about this reimagined ride. Splash was my family’s favorite Magic Kingdom attraction, but I love what I’m seeing with these updates from Disney. It looks like this ride is a labor of love for the Imagineers. I’m excited to see the finished product.

Tiana’s Bayou Adventure is opening in the summer of 2024 in Walt Disney World and later this year in Disneyland.
