Take Your Time “Documenting Your Failure” in the Star Destroyer Hangar on Rise of the Resistance

Rise of the Resistance is such a unique attraction, and its queue is a major reason why. A line that starts at a Resistance base morphs beautifully into a First Order Star Destroyer. And your first views of the Star Destroyer are the most impactful. That giant room certainly doesn’t feel like part of a ride queue, but that’s exactly what it is.

The scale of the hangar is unmatched in theme park attractions. I know it’s cliche, but it feels like you’re in a movie. What surprises me is that most guests look around, say “wow”, and move on to the next part of the line. I don’t. This is where I like to linger a bit and take some photos. Disney Cast Members are tasked with moving guests through the attraction, so they’ll give me a few moments before “enticing” me to get moving.

Hurry up and document your failure.

That’s always my cue to leave the hangar. After all, the next group of Resistance fighters should be able to enjoy this reveal without a guy in a big dorky hat blocking their view.
