Sorcerer Mickey Hat Installed at The Magic of Disney Animation in Hollywood Studios
Hollywood Studios is once again home to a Sorcerer Mickey hat. Overnight, crews installed the oversized hat at the entrance of The Magic of Disney Animation.
With the hat installed, the building is looking a lot more like its inspiration, the Roy E. Disney Animation Building in Burbank, California. Once complete, guests will take an art class led by Olaf, let loose in a Mary Blair-inspired playground, and meet several characters. That’s set to open later this summer.

Outside, the transformation from the Animation Courtyard into The Walt Disney Studios is almost complete. Colored pavement near the entrance now features prints (hand, foot, and paw) from several Disney icons, including Cinderella, Mufasa & Simba, Moana, Maui, & Hei Hei, and more.
The Magic of Disney Animation opens later this summer. The Walt Disney Studios debuts on May 26, 2026.
