Six Ravens Shares Menu Ahead of Disney Springs Debut
Walt Disney World updated its Six Ravens webpage this morning, adding the restaurant’s menu and operating hours for today. Even without an official announcement, it looked like Six Ravens was preparing to welcome its first guests this morning. Unfortunately, the website got ahead of itself. Six Ravens remains closed.
Still, the update is giving us our first look at the complete menu. The restaurant, brought to you by the same people who own Gideon’s Bakehouse, specializes in hand pies, or what they call Coffyns. Each yeast roll is filled with savory ingredients and comes with a dip pairing. Baked smashed potatoes are also available.
Six Ravens also serves house-made root beer and several local beers. They even have dessert tarts for those not wanting to stand in line for a Gideon’s cookie. Ah, who are we kidding? Lines are going to be a thing at Six Ravens, too.
Coffyns were popular during the English Tudor period in the early 1600s. How they fell out of favor is beyond me. I mean, who doesn’t love a meat pie? Kudos to Six Ravens for bringing them back.
Update (July 22): Six Ravens posted the following message on Instagram yesterday, acknowledging that the menu rollout was, in fact, a mistake.
Well … our menu accidentally leaked, but without the well-deserved highlights to the local talents we worked with to bring you some fun flavors. So here is a more precise version of the food offerings on the menu. Every Coffyn purchase will include a HEALTHY dose of dipping sauce! No baby cups here!
Based on the accompanying photo, they weren’t exaggerating about the amount of dipping sauce. The post also revealed that a breakfast menu is coming eventually, though it won’t be available when Six Ravens opens.
