Signed Copies of Joe Rohde’s Floating Mountains Coming to Disney Store
The Disney Store’s web servers are about to go through some things next week. That’s because Joe Rohde just announced that some signed copies of his new book, Floating Mountains, will be available on DisneyStore.com on August 17.
Update (August 17, 2026): Signed copies of Floating Mountains sold out within minutes.
“Hey folks!! Stay tuned. Just wanted to let you know a limited number of signed copies of Floating Mountains: The Art of Imagining the Impossible will be available the morning of Monday, August 17, following D23, on DisneyStore.com.”
The accompanying video shows Rohde standing at a table signing some papers. Someone in the comments asked about a possible book signing at Walt Disney World. Rohde responded that there will be one “in the future.”
We don’t yet know what time the book will hit the Disney Store on Monday morning. Or how many signed copies will be available. Hopefully Disney will fill in those details.
But even if they do, I don’t like my chances. Joe Rohde and “limited number of signed copies” is not a combination that inspires confidence. Thousands of us will be slamming that refresh button on Monday, hoping to get one of those copies. No skill. Just luck.
Maybe I’ll upgrade my fiber plan before then.
