New Soundtrack Coming to The Walt Disney Studios Courtyard at Hollywood Studios
Walt Disney Imagineering is bringing an all-new soundtrack to The Walt Disney Studios courtyard at Hollywood Studios. Brett, a Senior Creative Director for music, shared the news on social media this afternoon.
Based on the film’s B-roll, Imagineering recorded the score with a full orchestra. We were treated to a few seconds of a new arrangement of “Whistle While You Work” from Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs.
But that’s just the beginning. Brett hinted that the courtyard’s soundtrack will pull from Disney’s deep film library. The team intentionally mixed styles, tempos, and dynamics to shape the atmosphere throughout the space.
“Sound, effects, and music help to guide our guests through spaces,” Brett explained. “Sometimes, we might dim the music and bring it up in a separate area to bring your attention to that area.”

This is another brilliant addition to the reimagined Animation Courtyard. Imagineers are leaning heavily into old-school Disney studio vibes with touches like the Sorcerer Mickey hat, the Streamline Moderne-inspired signage, and the recreation of the billboard once displayed at Disney’s Hyperion Studio in Los Angeles.
And the area’s soundtrack will tie all those things together and then some. Maybe I’m biased, but nothing conjures those nostalgic feelings like music. We can’t wait to hear what Imagineering has in store for us.
The Walt Disney Studios courtyard debuts May 26, 2026.
