My Disney Experience App Gets a Major Upgrade With “My Plans” Tools
Disney’s been on a roll improving its digital services lately. First came the vastly improved dining reservation tools. Now, the My Disney Experience (MDE) app has received a major upgrade, and it’s a good one. Gone are the clunky Tip Board and My Day tabs, replaced with the more intuitive My Plans. The new page includes a date-based menu that makes tracking and editing your vacation plans a breeze.

One of my biggest complaints about the old MDE setup was how hard it was to see future plans. You had two options. The first was using Change Day in the My Day tab, but that only let you see one day at a time. Not ideal for anyone planning a week-long trip.

The second option was to open the main menu (the one hidden behind the icon in the bottom right) and click Future Plans. It worked if you knew where to look, but for most casual Disney vacationers, it was anything but simple. And that page didn’t show you’re current day’s plans. Ugh!

The new page’s design addresses that. Vacation plans are now included on one page, are easier to understand, and are visually cleaner. Large headings, softer content blocks, and refreshed icons make the interface both more functional and more inviting. And if you’re a fan of the Tip Board, it’s still available. Look for it in the Wait Times & Showtimes section in the main menu.
As of now, the Disneyland app hasn’t received the same updates found in the new My Disney Experience app. If your MDE still shows the old layout, open your device’s app store and download the latest version to access the new tools.
