Magic Kingdom Adjusts Mickey’s Magical Friendship Faire Schedule

Magic Kingdom Adjusts Mickey’s Magical Friendship Faire Schedule

With Cinderella Castle’s facelift set to ramp up in earnest, Mickey’s Magical Friendship Faire will soon shift to an adjusted schedule at Magic Kingdom. Starting January 28, the show will drop two morning performances but add an early evening one, reducing the total daily count from five shows to four.

The updated schedule gives construction crews uninterrupted access to the castle each morning. Disney has promised to lower cranes and clear sightlines by midday, ensuring guests still get clean castle views and a full slate of afternoon entertainment.

Yes, limiting work hours means the refurbishment will take a bit longer. But for guests actually in the park, that’s a fair trade. They want shows. They want castle photos. And Disney’s plan allows for that.

Updated Mickey’s Magical Friendship Faire schedule (as of January 28)

  • 1:00 PM
  • 2:05 PM
  • 4:00 PM
  • 5:15 PM

Until then, the show will continue operating on its current schedule:

  • 10:05 AM
  • 11:05 AM
  • 12:40 PM
  • 1:55 PM
  • 4:00 PM

Announced at last year’s Destination D23, the Cinderella Castle refresh will return the icon to a color palette inspired by its original 1971 appearance. Disney is clearly trying to minimize guest impact, even though the moat will be drained and construction activity will be unavoidable each morning.

Despite all that, keeping Mickey’s Magical Friendship Faire running is a win for guests.
