Josh D’Amaro Visits Disney Adventure World with French President Emmanuel Macron

Josh D’Amaro seems to be settling into the CEO role just fine. Today, he made a stop at Disneyland Paris, touring the soon-to-be-renamed Disney Adventure World alongside French President Emmanuel Macron and Disneyland Paris President Natacha Rafalski.

The park, still technically Walt Disney Studios Park for two more days, is the centerpiece of Disney’s ongoing investment in Paris.

The two spoke during their visit. D’Amaro opened with remarks highlighting the decades-long relationship his company has had with France:

“Mr. President, thank you for being here today. And all of our partners, thank you so much for coming. This is obviously a very important weekend for us. This is a relationship that is more than 30 years in the making.”

He also spoke about the €2 billion investment Bob Iger pledged for the park’s transformation in 2018, saying, “Here we stand having fulfilled that commitment. And you see behind us now how beautiful this new land is that we’ve built, and I believe we will continue to be the number one tourist destination.”

Macron also spoke, thanking D’Amaro for making the trip days after stepping into the CEO role:

“First to congratulate you and to thank you for being here. You mentioned Bob, and please convey my warm regards. And it’s true that, a few years ago, he committed, and you collectively delivered. And Natacha, thank you so much to the whole team here, and I think this is a great signal for everybody that just a few days after taking the new function, you’re in Paris with us to follow up this good story. Thank you very much for that.”

Accompanied by Cast Members, Macron and D’Amaro also visited the new World of Frozen land, a centerpiece of the rebranded park. Arendelle, situated on the edge of a large lagoon, includes its own Frozen Ever After boat ride, as well as the Celebration in Arendelle, a boat show featuring a mind-boggling Olaf animatronic.

Disney Adventure World officially opens on March 29, 2026.
