Holiday Sleigh Rides Return to Tri-Circle-D Ranch at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort
Holiday Sleigh Rides are returning to the Tri-Circle-D Ranch. Throughout December, guests can enjoy the horse-drawn excursion at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort. Well, most days. Disney is giving the horses a couple of breaks on Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve.

The 25-minute ride takes guests through the resort’s “festive campground and woodland beauty.” Each sleigh fits four adults, or two adults and three small children. The excursion costs $80, no matter the number of guests. And it will go off, rain or shine. Severe weather will keep the horses indoors, however.
As with all activities and dining at Fort Wilderness, guests should allow extra travel time when heading to the resort. The most convenient (and scenic) route is by boat from Magic Kingdom. Then it’s a short walk to the Tri-Circle-D Ranch. Guests arriving by park buses will need to transfer to an internal resort bus and exit at the Settlement Depot. Those driving will need to park at the resort entrance and take the same internal bus.
Reservations are now available, up to 60 days before your arrival. Before booking, be aware of the following:
- While sleigh rides may be cancelled due to inclement weather, they will run as planned in the rain or cold. Check the weather and bring an umbrella, ponchos, and warm clothes if necessary.
- Wheelchair users must be able to step up into the sleigh.
- Rides accommodate 4 adults or 2 adults and 3 children only.
- There’s a 24-hour cancellation policy. Be sure to cancel before then, or you’ll be charged the full $80.
- Check in 15 minutes before your reservation time at the Tri-Circle-D Ranch barn near the Settlement Bus Depot.
