Hitting Pause on Universal Kids Resort Opening Date Predictions

Hitting Pause on Universal Kids Resort Opening Date Predictions

We’re pulling back our earlier reporting on Universal Kids Resort potentially opening in early July 2026.

While I felt comfortable publishing our original story, several people have since reached out to say that timeline may not be accurate. And at this point, without confirmation from Universal, we’re done speculating on opening dates.

That’s on me.

Update (May 28, 2026): Our earlier reporting was correct. Universal Kids Resort is indeed opening on July 1, 2026.

What makes this situation a little strange is that signs had been pointing toward an imminent announcement. For months, Universal Kids Resort’s social media accounts posted regular updates. It felt as if the resort was building toward something big. But their last post came on April 15. We actually expected an announcement today, but that obviously didn’t happen.

Yesterday, Klook, a third-party booking platform, briefly showed Universal Kids Resort tickets available from July 1 through September 29, 2026. The site listed 1-day tickets starting at $64.95 and 2-day tickets beginning at $85.65, with guests ages 2 and up requiring admission.

We still believe Universal Kids Resort is very close. Ride testing has ramped up across the property, Team Member activity has increased significantly, and the park no longer feels like a construction site. But until Universal officially announces an opening date, we’re out of the prediction market. When Universal is ready, they’ll tell us. And we’ll cover it then.
