EPCOT’s DVC Member Lounge Being Reimagined as ImaginAtrium
EPCOT’s DVC Member Lounge closed earlier this summer for a planned refurbishment. It was scheduled to reopen on July 13, but the lounge remains closed. While we don’t know what is causing the delay, Disney did share some details about the project. Disney Files, the official Disney Vacation Club magazine, revealed the name for the updated space: ImaginAtrium – A Member Lounge.
The magazine also reported that crews are installing a new elevator, applying fresh PPG paint to the walls, and adding an exhibit of archival images. Most guests hoped crews would also add restrooms, but that doesn’t seem to be in the cards.
While no reopening date was provided, I selfishly hope ImaginAtrium opens by November. I need my AC and a Freestyle Cherry Vanilla Coke.
