Empire State Building Hosts Star Wars Light Show

Empire State Building Hosts Star Wars Light Show

Lucasfilm is gearing up for May the 4th with the “Imperial March,” a celebration of Star Wars villainy. As part of the month-long event, the company is revealing new action figures, toys, collectibles, and apparel honoring the worst the galaxy has to offer. More importantly, the Empire is taking over The Empire State Building this evening to put on a Star Wars-themed light show.

The event begins at 8 PM. Non-New Yorkers can enjoy the show from afar. The official Star Wars TikTok will broadcast the event live.

Update: You can watch the entire 5-minute show below. Look for the lightsaber battle that starts at 1:07. It’s subtle but brilliant!

Hayden Christensen visited The Empire State Building earlier today to promote the show. Can I just say how happy I am that he’s once again a part of the Star Wars universe? He deserved better than the prequels. Thankfully, Disney+’s Ahsoka and Obi-Wan Kenobi have allowed him to do more with the character.

One last thing about the “March to May the 4th” merchandise. If you scroll through all the comic books, action figures, and shirts, you’ll find blue milk. Not the beverage you can buy in Galaxy’s Edge. This is vanilla-flavored milk from TruMoo. I don’t particularly want to try it, but I will. It’s available in stores starting on April 17.
