DVC Offers Discount for Disney World Summer VIP Tours

DVC announced a nice discount for summer Walt Disney World VIP Tours. I should qualify that statement. Yes, it’s a nice discount, but you’ll still pay plenty. Here are the details:

  • Dates: July 17 through September 30, 2024. The discount is not available on August 31 and September 1.
  • Number of guests: Tours can accommodate up to 10 people.
  • Length: Minimum of 7 continuous hours.
  • Price: Tours are regularly $450-900 per hour depending on the season. Theme park tickets are not included.

So yeah. 20% is a significant discount, but we’re still talking serious money. A seven-hour tour will cost between $2520 and $5040. But you don’t have to be uber-rich to enjoy one. While most people who go on VIP Tours are well-to-do, the rest of us just need to bring along nine friends.

Consider this. A ticket for this year’s Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party costs up to $200. If you go on a VIP Tour with nine other people, you could spend as little as $252 with the DVC discount. Yeah, you’ll need to tip. So let’s round that to $300 to be safe. Still, that’s not an absurd amount when you consider just how special a VIP Tour of Walt Disney World can be.

Who qualifies for the VIP Tour DVC discount?

The VIP Tour discount is only available to those who qualify for DVC Membership Extras. There are many rules to determine eligibility. Rather than get bogged down in the minutiae, open your digital membership card. If see “DVC-Y”, then you’re good to go! You can access the card in your My Disney Experience app.

The eligible DVC member will need to be the one who books and pays for the VIP Tour reservation. That person will also be required to go on the tour. Sacrifices must be made!
