Disney’s Pop Century Resort “POP” Sign Getting Fresh Paint

Disney’s Pop Century Resort continues to get the love, with crews now prepping one of its iconic “POP” signs for a fresh coat of paint. The oversized letters that greet guests near the poolside entrance to the lobby have already been sanded and filled, with primer and paint likely up next. Temporary signage around the area asks guests to “Pardon our Pixie Dust” and to “Have a Groovy Day.”

The work doesn’t appear to be limited to the sign. Mariann Bell, who’s visiting Pop Century with her family this weekend, noted that crews are power washing multiple outdoor areas. That could just be routine maintenance, but it’s also often the first step before repainting.

These updates follow extensive improvements to the resort. Pop Century’s lobby, guest rooms, and Petals Pool Bar wrapped up a refurbishment earlier this spring. POP Shopping & Dining was renovated in early 2025.
