Disney World Adds Direct Water Park Buses for More Resort Hotel Guests

Disney World is making it easier for some hotel guests to take advantage of its upcoming Water Park Benefit. Running from May 26 through September 8, 2026, the perk gives guests staying at Disney Resorts Collection hotels complimentary admission to a Disney water park on the first day of their vacation.

Normally, aside from a couple of exceptions, Disney doesn’t offer direct bus transportation between Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon and Disney’s Blizzard Beach and most of its hotels. But that’s changing, at least for guests staying at select resorts. Here’s what’s new.

Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon

Guests staying at Disney’s Port Orleans Resort – Riverside and Disney’s Port Orleans Resort – French Quarter can now hop on a single bus to Disney World’s original water park. Disney recommends checking transportation signage at the resort for specific pickup locations and operating hours.

Unfortunately, that’s where the list ends. Everyone else heading to Typhoon Lagoon will still need to take a bus to Disney Springs and transfer there. Then do the reverse trip on the way back. Yep, that could leave you standing in the Disney Springs bus depot in your bathing suit. We strongly recommend packing a change of clothes instead.

Bus service from Disney Springs to Typhoon Lagoon begins 30 minutes before the park opens. The last bus departs roughly 60 minutes after closing.

Disney’s Blizzard Beach

Fortunately, direct service to Blizzard Beach is available from more resorts. Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort and Disney’s All-Star Resorts already offered direct buses. Now, three more hotels join the list:

Disney’s Art of Animation Resort
Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort
Disney’s Pop Century Resort
Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort
Disney’s All-Star Resorts

Guests should check transportation signage at their resort for pickup locations and operating times.

Everyone else will need to transfer buses at Animal Kingdom. Service between the park and Blizzard Beach starts 30 minutes before the water park opens, with the final bus departing about 60 minutes after closing.

For years, getting to Disney’s water parks has felt like work. But you can’t blame Disney, seeing as most guests never visit Blizzard Beach and Typhoon Lagoon. Still, this is a nice benefit. These new direct routes don’t fix everything, but they will make water park days a whole lot easier for some guests.
