Disney Treasure Leaves Meyer Werft Shipyard

Disney Treasure Leaves Meyer Werft Shipyard

In a major milestone, the Disney Treasure has left the Meyer Werft Shipyard. Earlier today, tugboats guided Disney’s newest ship down the Ems River as it made its way to open water. Here’s Disney’s press release:

“Make way for the Disney Treasure! Today, the Disney Treasure completed another milestone when it was guided by tugboat down the Ems River from Meyer Werft shipyard toward open water for the first time. The ship made its way passed waving spectators, who lined the river’s shores to celebrate its departure. During the next few days, the ship will go through a series of rigorous tests, known as sea trials. The captain of the Disney Treasure, Captain Marco, will step onboard to help oversee the trials and ensure the Disney Treasure is ready for its upcoming transatlantic journey.”

You can see the path the Treasure took on Google Maps.
