Tiana's Bayou Adventure water tower under construction

Disney Shares First Look Inside Tiana’s Bayou Adventure

Viewers of ABC’s 20/20 were treated to two photographs taken inside Tiana’s Bayou Adventure, the attraction currently under construction at Magic Kingdom and Disneyland. This ride reimagines Splash Mountain, which closed at both parks earlier this year.

The photos show a dilapidated cabin surrounded by dense bayou foliage. It’s more of a tease than a preview, but Disney fans (like me) eat this stuff up. Up until now, we’ve had to rely on concept art to get our fix.

20/20 also shared more concert art from the attraction’s exterior.

The ride’s story picks up where The Princess and the Frog left off. Tiana has expanded her business by transforming an old salt mine into a farm and kitchen.

Guests will join Princess Tiana, Naveen and jazz-loving alligator Louis on an adventure through the bayou as they prepare to host a one-of-a-kind Mardi Gras celebration where everyone is welcome. Along the way, guests will encounter familiar faces, make new friends and travel through the bayou to original music inspired by songs from the film as they are brought into the next chapter of Tiana’s story.

I can’t wait to see the audio-animatronics that will replace Br’er Rabbit, Br’er Bear, and Br’er Fox.

Tiana’s Bayou Adventure will open in Disney World and Disneyland in late 2024.
