Disney Reveals Name of New Cruise Ship: Disney Believe
Disney Cruise Line’s next ship officially has a name. And, as usual, it tells you quite a bit about what Disney is going for. During Disney’s annual shareholders meeting, new CEO Josh D’Amaro revealed the name of the newest addition to the fleet: the Disney Believe. The Disney Parks Blog followed up with a bit more context:
“For more than 100 years, Disney storytelling has inspired families around the world – through films, experiences, products and vacations – to believe in their dreams and pursue them boldly. Today, we are thrilled to announce that the next Disney Cruise Line ship will be a tribute to those dreamers and doers who dare to pursue their own happily ever after.”
The Disney Believe will be the fourth vessel in the Wish class, joining the Disney Wish, Disney Treasure, and Disney Destiny. And like those ships, it’s built around a single guiding idea. This time, “promise and possibilities,” which leans into stories about characters who take a chance and see it pay off.
Those stories and characters will be centered around several popular Disney IPs, including:
- Snow White
- Tangled
- Inside Out
- Iron Man
- Monsters, Inc.
- Zootopia
- Sorcerer Mickey from Fantasia
- Encanto
- Star Wars
- Toy Story
- The Little Mermaid
- A Nightmare Before Christmas
- Groot from Guardians of the Galaxy
- Moana
- Frozen
The Disney Believe will debut in late 2027.
